JAKARTA - The pair who will be presidential and vice presidential candidates for the Change Coalition, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin (AMIN) is targeting the former Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Susi Pudjiastuti to join the national team (timnas) to win AMIN.

PKS spokesman Muhammad Iqbal said his party hoped that Susi would join the successful Anies-Imin winning team in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

"(Susi) One that we might hope to join (the AMIN National Team)," Iqbal told reporters, Friday, October 27.

According to Iqbal, Susi is a figure close to Anies, as well as has an influence in West Java (West Java). Therefore, it is suitable to consider being one of the leaders of the AMIN national team.

"He is a person who has a lot of influence in West Java, especially and of course Mr. Anies' friend," explained Iqbal.

Regarding the structure of the AMIN national team, Iqbal said, the names of the chairmen and members are being discussed by leaders of political parties who are members of the Change Coalition. It is known that Anies-Imin was carried by three parties, namely NasDem, PKS and PKB.

"We need to be patient because we are looking for the best figure. So there are already names," said Iqbal.

Previously, Cak Imin bluntly expressed his hope that Susi would join the AMIN national team. Even the deputy chairman of the DPR admitted that he had invited the owner of the Susi Air airline.

"I hope, invite Mrs. Susi. We'll wait for the answer," said Cak Imin after attending the Malay Arts Exhibition at the Kunstkring Paleis Gallery, Jakarta, Thursday, October 26.

Nevertheless, Cak Imin said that he had not had time to meet directly with the former minister who was widely known for the word "drowned". He hopes that Susi will work together to oversee the ideals of the changes promoted by the AMIN pair.
