JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin emphasized that sharia ecosystem infrastructure must be built collectively, thus demanding cross-sectoral cooperation and stakeholders.

The vice president said the sharia ecosystem has the potential to provide broad benefits with clusters that can be developed such as the halal product industry, sharia financial services, sharia social funds, as well as sharia business and entrepreneurship.

"For this reason, sharia ecosystem infrastructure must be built collectively so that it becomes a large, widely beneficial house, and is able to facilitate the development of strategic clusters," said the Vice President at the National Seminar for Sharia Economics at the Syariah Tower Building, Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2, Tangerang, Banten, Friday, October 27, confiscated by Antara.

The vice president said the Islamic Financial Center or IFC PIK-2 which was built in 2019 was a joint effort to present a sharia financial ecosystem. IFC PIK-2 is expected to become a magnet as well as a barometer of the world's Islamic economy and finance.

The regional development initiative was born before Indonesia was recorded to have achieved various achievements in the global Islamic economic rankings.

Therefore, he believes that the presence of this Islamic financial center is able to strengthen the national sharia economic ecosystem.

The vice president also hopes that this integrated area will later become an icon of Indonesia, especially in the Islamic financial sector, and even more advanced than the Islamic financial centers that were first present in Dubai (Union of the Arab Emirates), Astana (Kazakhstan), Qatar and other countries.

In his remarks, the Vice President also conveyed several strategies so that the IFC PIK-2 can provide reinforcement to the ecosystem and synergy of national sharia economic stakeholders.

First, the Vice President asked IFC PIK-2 to continue to provide a sharia financial center with the best service and remain competitive, and continue to utilize and optimize new areas to become inclusive and sustainable shared houses for all stakeholders in it.

"Build the spirit of ownership and togetherness between stakeholders, so that this area continues to develop into an information and business center that bridges the interests of business actors and the sharia industry, and is even able to attract new Islamic investments from within and outside the country," he said.

Second, he continued, the Vice President asked IFC PIK-2 to continue to build collaboration and networks across the Islamic economic and financial sectors.

According to him, this will open up the widest possible opportunities and opportunities for cooperation for all Islamic business actors and industry, not limited to the Islamic finance sector.

Third, the Vice President expects IFC PIK-2 to collaborate with the participation of sharia entrepreneurs, including MSMEs, and continue to increase mutual cooperation and cooperation between big entrepreneurs and MSMEs.

On the other hand, the number of sharia entrepreneurs in Indonesia is still limited, so we need joint efforts to encourage the birth of sharia-based entrepreneurs through incubation or "start-ups", strengthen existing sharia entrepreneurs, and move conventional entrepreneurs to sharia.

Finally, the Vice President asked IFC PIK-2 to involve various groups and the younger generation. This is because the inclusive nature of the Islamic economy and finance can be accepted by various groups.
