After Searching 2 Houses, Polda Metro Will Check Firli Bahuri Again

JAKARTA - KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri will be questioned again as a witness in the alleged extortion case against former Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL.

The reason is that investigators from the Tipidkor Sub-Directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya still need their information to reveal the suspect in the case.

"We are on the agenda. We still need some additional information from FB's brother as chairman of the Indonesian KPK," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak, to reporters, Friday, October 27.

It has not been conveyed about the time of the examination of Firli. The reason is that the investigation team will only schedule it.

But said Ade, investigators have scheduled an examination of several KPK employees next week. Later, the examination will take place at Bareskrim Polri and Polda Metro Jaya.

"We schedule it to recall several KPK employees whose summons we sent yesterday. Either on Monday or Tuesday for us to re-examine the witnesses in question," he said.

Not to forget, investigators will also examine experts, some of whom are criminal experts and procedural law experts. The goal is to strengthen the alleged criminal element that occurred.

"We involve some experts in this case, first criminal experts, then from procedural law experts, then experts or micro expression experts. We involve today several expert examinations have been carried out," said Ade.

Firli Bahuri has undergone an examination at Bareskrim Polri Tuesday, October 24. The KPK chairman was examined for about 7 hours.

The amount and material for the examination of Firli Bahuri is not known. It was only conveyed that Firli Bahuri was still a witness.

In handling the alleged extortion case carried out by the KPK leadership against former Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo, Polda Metro Jaya has also examined a number of witnesses related to the case.

As of Tuesday, October 24, Polda Metro Jaya has examined 54 witnesses in this case, including SYL's personal driver, SYL's personal aide, Deputy Chairperson of the KPK for the 2007-2011 period Mochammad Jasin.

Then, Deputy Chairperson of the KPK for the 2015-2019 period Saut Situmorang, Director of Public Complaints and Complaints (Dumas) of the KPK Tomi Murtomo, Aide de Camp (ADC) or aide to the Chairman of the KPK Kevin Egananta, and Semarang Police Chief Kombes Irwan Anwar who is also SYL's nephew's husband.
