Former Head of the South Lampung Police Narcotics Unit, AKP Andri Gustami, who has been fired from the police service, has helped guard narcotics belonging to illicit trafficking syndicate Fredy Pratama eight times.

This was revealed by prosecutor Eka S at the trial of the indictment against Gustami at the inaugural trial at the Tanjungkarang Corruption District Court, Bandar Lampung.

"So after the 'tenture' agreement was received by the defendant Andri Gustami, with Fredy Pratama's network, the former Head of Drugs at the South Lampung Police had helped carry out narcotics escorts eight times," said Eka as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, October 23.

He said that on May 4, 2023, at around 17.30 WIB, 12 kg of methamphetamine was received and taken from one of the rooms at the Grand Elty Kalida Hotel, South Lampung Regency by Gustami, then, May 8, 2023, at around 17.30 WIB, 20 kg of methamphetamine was received and taken from one of the rooms at the Grand Elty Kalida Hotel, South Lampung Regency.

"On May 11, 2023, at around 17.30 WIB, 16 kg of methamphetamine was received, taken from one of the rooms at the Grand Elty Kalida Hotel, South Lampung Regency. On May 18, 2023, at around 17.30 WIB, 20 kg of methamphetamine was received and taken from one of the rooms at Villa Negeri Baru Resort Kalida, South Lampung Regency," he said.

Furthermore, on May 20, 2023 at around 17.30 WIB, narcotics of the type of methamphetamine weighing 20 kg were received and taken from the Villa Negeri Baru Resort Kalida, South Lampung Regency. On May 25, 2023, at around 18.30 WIB, narcotics of methamphetamine weighing 25 kg and 2,000 ecstasy were escorted by the defendant until he boarded the ferry Express.

On June 19, 2023 at around 18.30 WIB, the 19 kg type of methamphetamine was escorted by the defendant until he boarded the ferry Express. On June 20, 2023 at around 18.30 WIB, the 18 kg type of methamphetamine was escorted by the defendant until he boarded the ferry Express.

"The way the defendant escorted narcotics belonging to the narcotics trafficking network Fredy Pratama was by taking the narcotics in one of the rooms at the Grand Elty Hotel and at the Villa Negeri Baru Resort Kalida South Lampung," he said.

Then, continued the Public Prosecutor, the defendant took him by private vehicle to the parking area of the vehicle that would enter the ferry Express or by meeting a narcotics carrier courier in the km 20 area of the Kalianda toll road and escorting him.

"The escort was carried out to the queue area entering the ferry Express, so as to avoid being examined by police officers at the front entrance to Bakauheni Port, South Lampung," he said.

In total, from eight times guarding narcotics belonging to the Fredy Pratama network, Gustami managed to pass 150 kg of crystal methamphetamine and 2,000 ecstasy pills.
