Regent Rudy Gunawan Reminds Companies In Garut To Prepare Quota 1 Percent For Disabilities

Garut Regent, West Java, Rudy Gunawan stated, all companies operating in the area must prepare a quota to absorb people with disabilities by one percent of the total number of employees within the company. This is in accordance with the mandate of the Employment Law. "The Labor Law first, yes, even though the employee is one percent obliged to be disabled," said Rudy Gunawan during the event, handing over the Minister of Manpower award to PT Changsin Reksa Jaya, who had absorbed labor from people with disabilities in Garut, as reported by Antara, Monday, October 23. Absorption of disability workers is also regulated in Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning Persons with Disabilities. He explained that private companies are required to employ at least one percent of people with disabilities. Quota based on the regulation, he said, requires all private companies to be able to employ people with disabilities one percent of the total number of employees in order to provide living equalization. "This is important, because equality and only one percent," he said. So far, the Garut Regency Government is also trying to channel people with disabilities to be able to work in private companies. "I put some people with disabilities in places where I have access to the private sector," he said. One of the private companies that absorbs one percent of the workforce from people with disabilities, said Rudy, namely PT Changsin, the company received an award from the Minister of Manpower. The Regent appreciated PT Changsin Reksa Jaya, for building a world of work in Garut. "I appreciate PT Changshin," he said. Representative from PT Changshin Reksa Jaya, Kim Hee Hyun expressed her gratitude to the Garut Regency Government for always supporting and helping PT Changsin, so that the company's activities continue. "We are very grateful and we can continue to work better together," he said.

PT Changsin Reksa Jaya, which operates in Leles District, absorbs 109 workers from persons with disabilities or the equivalent of 1.02 percent of the total employees.
