Admits That He Has Safari Politics To The KIM Political Parties, Gibran Calls The Results Good

JAKARTA - Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka admitted that he had met with the general chairman of the party that was members of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM). Not wanting to talk much, he only said the results of the meeting were good.

Meanwhile, KIM is a coalition of parties that carries the General Chair of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, as a presidential candidate (candidate) in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

"Today goes back to my friends from the coalition," said Gibran at the 'Indonesia Calling Gibran' event at the Proclamation Monument, Menteng, Jakarta, Saturday, October 21.

"(The result, red) is good, good," he continued.

Gibran doesn't want to talk much about his candidacy. He just said there would be additional surprises.

"Just wait," he said.

In addition, the son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) expressed his gratitude for his support. Gibran advised all parties to keep the atmosphere of the five-year contestation conducive

"The most important thing is that everyone must get along well, no one should fight, especially on social media. Anyway, just take it easy," he said.

Previously reported, Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto stated that his party agreed to propose Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka as a candidate for vice president (cawapres) accompanying Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres). This agreement was taken after the internal party held a meeting on Friday night, October 20.

This was conveyed by Airlangga at the Golkar Party National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) which was attended by the General Chair of the Gerindra Party as well as a presidential candidate from the Advanced Indonesia Coalition, Prabowo Subianto on Saturday, October 21.

Prabowo then praised Airlangga Hartarto, who was willing to carry Gibran Rakabuming Raka as a vice presidential candidate. Even though the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Prabowo, called him worthy to run in the presidential election.

"I worked closely with him for 4 years. I saw his achievements, I saw his appearance at a critical time, I am not a handyman, I saw him as one of the best sons of the Indonesian nation," Prabowo said at the Golkar rapid, Saturday, October 21.

"He has a great brain, technology, has extraordinary vision, and actually I really see how big Golkar and Pak Airlangga have a big heart. I think he actually deserves to be a vice presidential candidate, but for the sake of big interests, for the sake of the national interest, today's people show that a great soul does not think group, does not think ego, thinks of the interests of the Indonesian nation," said Prabowo.
