2 Suspected Terrorists Arrested In East Lombok Immediately Taken To Jakarta

Two suspected terrorists who were arrested in East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) were immediately taken by the Police Anti-terror Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Team to Jakarta.

"So because this is Densus, according to the SOP, (two suspected terrorists) immediately flew to Jakarta," said Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police, Kombes Arman Asmara Syarifuddin, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, October 19.

Regarding the arrests of the two suspected terrorists in East Lombok Regency, Kombes Arman said that his party could only confirm that the activity took place at around 09.30 WITA.

"The information is limited, we only received news that both of them were arrested in their respective homes," he said.

Regarding the initials and roles of the two suspected terrorists, Arman said this was under the authority of the Anti-terror Detachment 88 Team.

"There is no notification to us that Densus wants to go down, that's why we can't get complete information. But it's true, if Densus 88 made arrests in East Lombok," he said.

Separately, East Lombok Police Chief AKBP Heri Indra Cahyono confirmed the arrests of the two suspected terrorists in his jurisdiction. Both were arrested at around 09.30 WITA in Terara District, East Lombok Regency.

"Yes, which must have been secured this morning," said Heri.
