The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya has prepared traffic engineering on the first day of registration of presidential candidate pairs (candidates) and vice presidential candidates (cawapres) to the General Election Commission (KPU), Thursday (19/10).

Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman explained that traffic diversion will be carried out starting at 06.00 WIB.

"The diversion of traffic flow starts at 06.00 WIB until it is finished," said Latif, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 18.

Latif explained that traffic diversion was carried out on several roads. Starting from the direction of the HI Roundabout to Jl Imam Bonjol to Jl Diponegoro to the HI Roundabout.

The following is the traffic diversion during the registration of presidential and vice-presidential candidates at the KPU building:

1. Vehicles coming from directions

The HI Roundabout going to Jalan Imam Bonjol is diverted to Jalan H. Agus Salim and Jalan Pamekasan;

2. Vehicles coming from Jalan H Agus Salim going to Jalan Imam Bonjol are straightened to Pamekasan Street or turn right towards the HI Roundabout

3. Vehicles coming from the direction of the road

Rasuna Said, who will go to Jalan Imam Bonjol, is straightened to Jalan Cokroaminoto or turns right to Jalan Diponegoro;

4. Vehicles coming from Jalan Diponegoro going to the HI Roundabout are diverted to the left of Jalan Rasuna Said and to the right of Jalan Hos Cokroaminoto.

The KPU has issued KPU Regulation (PKPU) Number 19 of 2023 concerning the Registration of Presidential Candidates and Vice Presidential Candidates for the 2024 General Election. In the PKPU, the registration of presidential and vice presidential candidates for the 2024 presidential election is opened on 19-25 October 2023 at the KPU RI Office, Jakarta.

Registration time on October 19-24, 2023 is open at 08.00-16.00 WIB, while on October 25 it is closed until 23.59 WIB.
