Malaysia's King Gives Honor To The Commander Of The Indonesian Armed Forces And Army Chief Of Staff

JAKARTA - Malaysia's King of the United Series of His Majesty, Commander Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah, gave a sign of honor to the TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono and Army Chief of Staff General TNI Dudung Abdurachman at the State Palace, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The TNI Commander and Kasad received the Honorary Sign of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces (PGAT) from the King of Malaysia because both of them were considered to have contributed to strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and Malaysia, as well as being role models for good relations between the two countries.

"On behalf of myself personally and the Malaysian Armed Army, I congratulate every time we once again. The provision of this prestigious award is your uninterrupted commitment and dedication agreement with peace and security. Hopefully this recognition improves our relationship higher, strengthens the existing bond between us," said Malaysia's King Seri Makati Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Mustain Billah during a ceremony to honor the Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 17.

PGAT is a sign of honor given by the Kingdom of Malaysia to the highest officials of the Malaysian armed forces, namely the Commander of the Malaysian Tentera Forces, the Commander of the Army, the Commander of the Navy, the Commander of the Air Tentera, and military officials of friendly countries who have equal positions and are considered meritorious and have a major contribution to cooperation in the military and defense sectors.

Not only Admiral Yudo and General Dudung, the King of Malaysia also gave the PGAT Honorary Sign to the Commander of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Vice Admiral Aaron Beng, the Chief of Army Staff of the United Arab Emirates Major General Saeed Rashid Ali-Al Shehhi, the Chief of Staff of the Pakistan Navy Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, and the Chief of Staff of the Thai Navy Admiral Chemgchai Chomchemgpat.

The Kingdom of Malaysia and friendly countries quite regularly give honors to the TNI Commander and the chief of staff of the force, especially when they want to enter retirement or retire as soldiers.

Yudo's predecessor, General TNI (Ret.) Andika Perkasa also received a PGAT Honorary Certificate from the Malaysian Kingdom a few months before he retired in December 2022.

Then, Marshal TNI (Ret.) Hadi Tjahjanto also received an honorary sign of Honorary Officer of The Order of Australia in The Military Division from the Australian Government and Darjah Utama Bakti Cemerlang from the Singapore Government.

TNI Commander Yudo Margono, if he follows military official rules, retired on November 26, 2023 or when he was 58 years old, while TNI Kasad General Dudung Abdurachman retired on November 19, 2023 when he was 58 years old.
