JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo visited the People's Heroes Monument in Tiananmen Square in Beijing, China to lay wreaths, Tuesday, October 17. This activity is part of President Jokowi's working visit to China. President Jokowi stood in front of the wreath and at the same time listened to the national anthem of the two countries. Furthermore, he followed the wreath which was moved to the front of the People's Heroes Monument. Accompanied by the Indonesian delegation, President Jokowi then walked to a predetermined point. Delegates participating were Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises as Ad Interim Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Erick Thohir, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Indonesian Ambassador to RRC Djauhari Oratmangun, and Indonesian Defense Attache at Beijing Brigadier General Mar. Benny P. Nadeak When the song "Flowers to the Heroes" was finished, Jokowi tidied up the flower bouquets and paid tribute.

After paying his respects, President Jokowi then headed for a series of vehicles and then left the Tiananmen Square.
