Police Check Mothers In South Jakarta Who Throw Their Children Into Ember

JAKARTA - The police are following up on the case of the mother with the initials L who allegedly threw her 4-month-old baby at Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Bintoro, explained that his party had examined L and three witnesses.

It is known, a mother with the initials L alias A had the heart to throw her 4-month-old child into a bucket filled with water. In addition, he also kept his baby in the wardrobe, annoyed to hear the baby's cry.

"There are 3 witnesses, there are R neighbors who know about the incident, the head of the RT, and also L's mother earlier," Bintoro told reporters at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Tuesday, October 17.

AKBP Bintoro has not explained the contents of the examination because it is still in the process of being investigated.

"Currently it is still in process, our investigators are conducting an examination of the mother," he said.

He said that in this case, his party cooperated with the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) and UP3A.

"And we are also cooperating with KPAI and UP3A in order to carry out the examination of L's mother," he concluded.
