For The Sake Of Regional Progress, Semarang Mayor Guarantees Ease Of Investment Licensing

SEMARANG - In order to encourage economic growth in his area, the Mayor of Semarang, Central Java, Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu ensures ease of licensing for investors who will invest.

"Support from the Semarang City Government, the first is the ease of licensing. As long as it has followed the rules, why should the process take so long? We will definitely accelerate licensing," he said in Semarang, Saturday.

This was conveyed by Ita, Hevearita's nickname when inaugurating the Padma Piazza groundbreaking ceremony at the Graha Padma Complex, Semarang, Central Java.

According to him, many investors continue to look to Semarang City to invest, one of which is the ease of licensing and various facilities provided by the Semarang City Government.

Not only that, the Semarang City Government also provides easy access to potential locations that reach all areas, from remote areas to city centers, including Padma Piazza.

"We will ask the Department of Transportation to review feeder services entering this area. There will be shelters built so that it is easy for people to reach all areas in Semarang," he said.

If necessary, he said, Padma Piazza as a new culinary center destination in Semarang City will be prepared as one of the stops for the tourist bus Denok Kenang Kuncung belonging to the Semarang City Government.

"This could be a new tourism potential, especially culinary tourism in Semarang City. There will be 40 culinary booths and MSMEs as well as traditional markets that will stand here. The term was 'one stop service'," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, October 14.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT Graha Padma Internusa Z Hendro Setiadji said that Padma Piazza will be an addition to new tourist destinations for culinary centers in Semarang City.

Padma Piazza will have an open space of two floors covering an area of 3 hectares containing supermarkets, coffee shops, family restaurants, picic spots, little zoo, MSME outlets, traditional markets to urban farming venues.

"Today starts 'ground breaking', and we are targeting it to be completed in the second quarter of 2024. We hope that Padma Piazza will be able to become a new destination that can increase the number of tourists," he concluded.
