It Was Comfortable To Be Examined By Investigators, Secretary General Of The Ministry Of Agriculture Became A KPK Prisoner

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) officially detained the Secretary General (Sekjen) of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) Kasdi Subagyono today, Wednesday, October 11. He was named a suspect in alleged corruption along with two other people, including former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo. "The suspect KS was detained for the first 20 days," said Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Johanis Tanak at a press conference at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, October 11. Detention will be carried out until October 30. Investigators will be able to extend this forced effort. Apart from Kasdi, the KPK also named Syahrul and the Director of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery of the Ministry of Agriculture Mohammad Hatta as suspects. However, they are not wearing orange vests like Kasdi. The three of them are suspects in alleged extortion related to positions and procurement of goods and services as well as receiving gratuities. "“SYL and MH confirmed that they could not attend for that we remind them to be cooperative and immediately fulfill the KPK investigation team," said Johanis.

For information, Kasdi had admitted that he was comfortable after being examined as a witness on Wednesday, October 10. He was examined for 11 hours. "I was very comfortable there because the investigators are friendly and professional," Kasdi told reporters at the KPK's Red and White House, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, October 10.
