Defense Minister Prabowo Reminds TNI Soldiers To Exemplify Seniors

Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto invites all TNI soldiers to imitate the figures of seniors who have sacrificed and have a fighting spirit in prioritizing the interests of the nation and people above the interests of the group.

"The loyalty and great sacrifices they have made and have given and continued to give to this day, are really an example that we need to be proud of," Prabowo said in his remarks at the Dirgahayu TNI2.5 October 1946 05 October 2023 at the Ministry of Defense building yard, Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Monday, October 9.

Defense Minister Prabowo also expressed his gratitude for the loyalty and role model that the TNI seniors continue to provide in every step of service to the Indonesian state and nation.

"I express my gratitude and highest appreciation to the seniors, elders, leaders who continue to show exemplary. This is what inspires us, our dedication," said Prabowo.

Defense Minister Prabowo reminded all soldiers that the TNI is a national army, people's army, and warrior soldiers who must prioritize the interests of the nation above all other interests.

This, according to him, is always upheld and proven by the previous TNI founders. Many of the senior soldiers have resigned from their political roles voluntarily and prioritized the interests of the nation and fought for democracy and reform.

"I think this is the spirit of all of us and I am proud that I am part of that process," he explained.

Defense Minister Prabowo expressed his pride in the struggle of TNI figures, some of whom were also present at the Ministry of Defense's Halladinner event, such as Try Sutrisno, Wiranto, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, and Agum Gumelar.

Prabowo said that these figures were guarding the reform process so that currently the Indonesian people can enjoy a safe and fair democracy.

"Those who oversee the reform process so that we can enjoy the democracy we have now, and until now they continue to set an example in guarding democracy," added Prabowo.
