JAKARTA - Commemoration of the 78th Anniversary of the Indonesian National Army Day which was held today at the National Monument (Monas) was enlivened by defense activities and defense equipment attractions. President Joko Widodo was also enthusiastic about watching the series of events. Accompanied by Iriana Joko Widodo who sat next to him, Jokowi applauded when he saw the ability of fighter jets to helicopters in the air around the Monas monument. Jokowi was also immersed in the music performances displayed by TNI soldiers while accompanying the attraction of defense equipment in the air. Every now and then, Jokowi uniformed his thumbs and moved his head to enjoy the rhythm when the song 'Koyo Jogja Special' was played. In the 78th Anniversary Ceremony of the Indonesian National Army, President Joko Widodo acted as a ceremony inspector. Starting today's TNI Anniversary ceremony, Jokowi carried out an inspection of troops by boarding amphibious tanks across TNI soldiers as a ceremony participant. During the inspection of this troop, Jokowi was accompanied by TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono and ceremonial commander, namely the Commander of the Infantry Division (Pangdivif) 3 Kostrad Major General TNI Choirul Anam. Jokowi's presence was accompanied by Iriana Joko Widodo. Vice President Ma'ruf Amin with Wuri Ma'ruf Amin, as well as the cabinet minister of Advanced Indonesia as the head of the state body/institution were also present at the commemoration of the TNI anniversary. The president and the previous Vice President also attended the commemoration of the TNI's Anniversary. After the ceremony, TNI's Anniversary was enlivened by the TNI's 5th President Megawati Soekarnoputri, the 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, the 7th Vice President Try Sutrisno, and the 12th Vice President Jusuf Kalla, and the 11th Vice President Boediono.

Hundreds of defense equipment were also exhibited in the commemoration. Among them, the deployment of 91 aircraft from land, sea, and air dimensions that will cross the sky over the Monas area, as well as 140 land defense equipment exhibited in the 78th anniversary of the TNI. Not only defense equipment, the TNI will also show off 250 personnel, and close with the demonstration of the Kolosal Rifle Colonel as many as 678 personnel.
