Gerindra Knows There Was A Meeting Between SBY And Jokowi At The Bogor Palace, Democrats Enter The Cabinet?

Secretary General of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani admitted that he was aware of a meeting between President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and the Chairman of the Upper House of the Democratic Party Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) at the Bogor Palace yesterday. However, Muzani admitted that he had not received any leaks about what the two discussed, whether it had anything to do with the cabinet reshuffle or not, which is currently back in the public. "I know there was a meeting between Pak SBY and Pak Jokowi at the Bogor palace. But I don't know at all until now, the leak doesn't know yet, the whispers don't understand what is being discussed," said Muzani at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 3. Muzani also admitted that he had not heard about the cabinet reshuffle that Jokowi was about to do in the near future. According to him, the cabinet reshuffle is the prerogative of President Jokowi. "I haven't heard about it, I haven't received any information about it, but the reshuffle is the president's prerogative. In the presidential government system, the president has the right to evaluate his assistants. So if the president feels the need to do that, of course it is part of the president's authority," he said. Including the issue of the issue that said the Democratic Party would join the Jokowi-Maruf government, Muzani considered it the president's authority. "It is entirely the president's authority to appoint who his assistants are from what party and so on," he said. Muzani said that his party did not want to speculate about Democrats joining the government even though the party currently chaired by Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) had joined the coalition of supporters of Prabowo Subianto. "I cannot predict, speculate, because frankly I know from the news, Mr. SBY met with Mr. Jokowi. There was no information because it was only yesterday afternoon," said Muzani. Previously, the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) was confirmed to have met with President Joko Widodo at the Bogor Palace, West Java. Based on journalists' observations, Jokowi was seen escorting SBY to a vehicle in the courtyard of the Bogor Palace after the meeting. The two of them seemed to be wearing batik together and were seen talking familiarly to the vehicle. The discussion between SBY and President Joko Widodo was not yet known at the meeting. However, SBY's meeting with Jokowi took place amid the increasing political temperature in the country ahead of the registration of presidential and vice presidential candidates agreed to run from October 19, 2023.

In addition, the news of the meeting also occurred amid the issue of a cabinet reshuffle due to the alleged involvement of two ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet in legal cases.
