Finding The Body Of A Woman Gegerkan Wisatawan Penangkaran Buaya Mayang Mangurai Kaltim

A number of visitors who were visiting the Mayang Mangurai crocodile breeding tour in Teluk Bayur District, Berau Regency, East Kalimantan (Kaltim) were filled with horror when they found the body of a woman in a very pathetic condition.

The woman's body, whose identity has not been identified, is strongly suspected of being a murder victim because she was found with a rope wound around her neck.

The woman's findings are estimated to be around 30 years old and found lying on the edge of a crocodile breeding pool at the Mayang Mangurai tourist site. When found by visitors, the victim was still wearing a black T-shirt and shorts.

After receiving reports from the public, police officers from the Berau Police Criminal Investigation Unit together with the Forensic Identification Team (inafis) immediately arrived at the location where the woman's body was found.

The results of the initial examination at the scene showed a scar resembling a rope attached to the victim's neck.

In addition, after examining the victim's body, officers did not find any identity cards or documents that could identify the victim. This made it difficult for the police to identify the woman's body.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Berau Police, AKP Ardian Rahayu, revealed that until now the police have not been able to identify the victim or the exact cause of the victim's death. The investigation is still ongoing and the results of the post-mortem from the Abdul Rifai Berau General Hospital are still in process.

"For the time being, we are still investigating. The body is still in the hospital, we will check there to determine what kind, and the available evidence, hopefully we can find out," said Ardian Thursday, September 28.

Regarding the alleged murder, Ardian stated that his party could not confirm it because he was still waiting for the results of the post-mortem conducted by the Abdul Rifai Berau General Hospital.

Until now, the police continue to carry out intensive investigations regarding the discovery of the body of this unidentified woman. Meanwhile, the victim's body has been evacuated to Abdul Rifai Berau General Hospital for further post-mortem and autopsy.
