Residents Of Tent Tents Side JIS Agree To Move To Nagrak Flats For The U-17 World Cup

JAKARTA - Residents of the former Kampung Bayam who have been in the tent that was established near the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) agreed to move to the Nagrak Flats in Cilincing, North Jakarta.

Residents affected by the JIS construction installments began packing goods to move per day, assisted by PPSU officers. However, they still want to inhabit the Kampung Susun Bayam (KSB) as promised by former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.

For the sake of the U-17 World Cup event running smoothly, residents finally agreed to move by making an agreement with the Head of Papanggo Village, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta which stated that residents would still have the right to inhabit KSB in the future.

"As of today, we have moved, now we are socializing. We have a temporary contract agreement this morning until we get the KSB. From yesterday, it was actually ready to move, but we have to be black and white," said the Coordinator of the Urban Poor People's Network (JRMK), a companion to the former Kampung Bayam resident, Mirnawati, to reporters, Tuesday, September 26.

Meanwhile, the agreement letter states that the Papanggo Village Head as a government representative provides free transportation for the temporary transfer of 19 families to the Nagrak Flat.

Then, the government must also facilitate free transportation when residents can move from Nagrak Flats to Kampung Susun Bayam.

Then, the agreement letter also wrote that the government was obliged to facilitate the transportation of children from the former Kampung Bayam residents to JIS which is located close to their school.

"Later, after JIS they can spread to their respective school locations," he said.

Meanwhile, Papanggo Village Head, Tomi Haryono admitted that he would immediately start the process of moving 19 families of former Bayam Village residents to Nagrak Flats, Cilincing. They plan to be placed in Block C on the 12th and 13th floors which have been prepared by UPRS Region III of the DKI Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Service.

"Once the residents have finished cleaning up, we will immediately help lift them. After they move, the sidewalk arrangement process will continue at the location," he said.

The U-17 World Cup itself is scheduled to take place in four stadiums in Indonesia, namely the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), Si Jalak Harupat Stadium Bandung, Manahan Stadium Solo, and Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium Surabaya from November 10 to December 2, 2023.

JIS will be used as a venue for Group C (Brazil, England, Iran, New Caledonia) and E (France, South Korea, United States, Burkina Faso) matches.

In addition to the group stage, JIS will also be used for two last 16 matches and two quarter-final matches. Therefore, the Indonesian chance to play at this venue is open if it can go to the knockout round.
