JAKARTA - A husband and wife couple named Ade Tirta (30) and Widya Rahmawati (21) became victims of abuse by a man-in-law because of debt problems. The couple was persecuted because the perpetrator felt annoyed when he was billed for a loan of Rp200 thousand.

From the victim's statement, the incident began when Ade and Widya came to the beautiful house, the wife of the perpetrator MS in Gang Langgar, Duri Pulp Village, Gambir District, Central Jakarta, to collect debts.

Arriving at the scene, Ade and his wife did not get the money that was borrowed by the perpetrator. There was a commotion between the victim Ade and the perpetrator (his brother-in-law) with the initials MS.

Furthermore, the perpetrator took a thigh and stabbed the victim's body Ade Tirta several times. However, when the perpetrator returned to stabbing the thigh, it hit the victim Widya's eye behind Ade Tirta again.

Both of them fell down. The perpetrator began to panic and finally fled leaving the victim. Meanwhile, with the help of the residents, the two victims of the debt collector couple finally came to the Gambir Metro Police Headquarters to make a police report.

After receiving the police report, the Gambir Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit immediately pursued the perpetrator.

"When the buser team came to the scene, the perpetrator had fled," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Gambir Metro Police, AKP Kadek Dwi to VOI, Monday, September 25.

As a result of the abuse, the couple suffered lacerations all over her body due to the injuries she suffered.

"Victim Ade Tirta suffered lacerations to his right chest and lower right back. Meanwhile, Ade's wife, Widya Rahmawati, suffered stab wounds to her left eye," he said.

Until now, the case is still under investigation by the Gambir Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit. Meanwhile, the victim was treated at Tarakan Hospital and carried out a post-mortem for his injuries.

"The perpetrator's identity has been identified, he is still being chased by members in the field," he said.
