Allegedly Electric Short Circuit, 8 Shophouses In The Culinary Area Of Pasar Lama Tangerang Burned

TANGERANG - A total of eight shophouses in the culinary center area of Pasar Lama, Jalan Kisamaun, Tangerang City, caught fire. The cause is suspected to be an electrical short circuit.

Tangerang City BPBD Head Maryono Hasan said the incident occurred on Saturday, September 23, at 21.00 WIB.

"Temporary information from the electrical short circuit, there were 8 shophouses that caught fire," Maryono told reporters, Saturday, September 23.

Maryono said there were 4 firefighters and 25 personnel deployed. The goal is to speed up extinguishing the fire.

"Alhamdulillah, the fire was extinguished, approximately 30 minutes," he said.

As a result of the incident, electricity in the culinary center area of Pasar Lama had to be extinguished and traders were forced to close early.

Regarding the loss, Maryono admitted that he did not know any further. But in the incident, he made sure there were no casualties.

"Alhamdulillah, there were no casualties," he said.
