Planning To Rehabilitate The Total Grand Mosque, The Kotabaru Regency Government Of South Kalimantan Again Holds An Expose

SOUTH KALIMANTAN - Kotabaru Regency Government (Pemkab) in South Kalimantan (Kalsel) held an exposure to the total rehabilitation of the construction of the Great Mosque of Husnul Khotimah. The concept adopted by the rehabilitation of the Grand Mosque in Sebatung Village is modern.

"This mosque will be built with a modern concept equipped with several supporting facilities," said Regent Syed Jafar in Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, Friday, September 22, which was confiscated by Antara.

The Regent explained that the total rehabilitation of using the existing land parcels with supporting facilities in the religious field, such as the marriage hall, one-stop offices such as the Kotabaru Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI). In addition, there are the Tilawatil Quran Kotabaru Institute (LPTQ), the secretariat of mosques, TPA, archival spaces, meeting rooms, and resting places for pilgrims.

"This meeting is the third exposure in the rehabilitation plan for the construction of the Great Mosque Husnul Khotimah,"

He explained that the construction of this mosque has a building with three floors, one dome and four towers, and is equipped with an elevator facility with additional places for Hajj rituals.

The Great Husnul Khotimah Mosque was first built on April 5, 1987, during the reign of the Regent of Kotabaru Regency HMR Husein in the 1985-1990 period.

The construction of this mosque was initiated by the proposed renovation of the Baitul Abrar Jami Mosque as Kotabaru residents grew and road access was increasingly open.

On February 7, 1985, the Regent of Kotabaru at that time, N Soetejo, initiated the total rehabilitation of the Jami Baitul Abrar Mosque, but it did not take place, because his term of office ended.

However, the construction plan will continue with the next regent, H. Mr Husein. On August 26, 1985, a construction committee was formed in the Regent's Decree Number VI-8-29/Kesra dated September 23, 1985.
