JAKARTA - RS, a motorcycle theft perpetrator, was arrested by residents while in action at RW 06, Jalan Kemuning, Utan Kayu Utara Village, Matraman District, East Jakarta, Thursday, September 21. Residents who were annoyed immediately ganged up on the perpetrators.

The arrest of the perpetrator began when the victim stabbed him based on the characteristics of the perpetrator who had been recorded on the CCTV camera. Because, according to residents, the perpetrators have stolen motorbikes several times at the same location.

The perpetrator was framed by the victim after 1 day of theft in the area. Moreover, the victim has lost two motorbikes at the same location.

According to Diva's statement, the victim said that he only found out when he left the house and the perpetrators had been arrested by residents.

"Some told me that the perpetrator was in my house. The perpetrators have been arrested by residents. Then residents judge the perpetrators," said Diva.

Assisted by residents, the victim immediately caught and arrested the perpetrator. The perpetrator was beaten by residents, then the perpetrator was secured at the RW office.

"The perpetrator was judged by local residents. The perpetrator admitted his actions. Meanwhile, the motorbike has been sold to the collector. The perpetrator was dragged to the RW office and then picked up by the police," he said.

Residents are upset because the perpetrators of the hospital have acted several times in their area. Moreover, several motorcycle thefts in Matraman often go viral on social media and are rarely revealed. This is what makes residents try to catch the perpetrators by trapping them.

For further processing, the perpetrator was taken to the Matraman Police Headquarters. Meanwhile, the victim has also made a police report. The case was also handled by the Matraman Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
