JAKARTA - Commission II of the DPR together with the Ministry of Home Affairs, KPU, Bawaslu, and DKPP approved two draft Election Supervisory Body (Perbawaslu) regulations and two drafts of the Honorary Council of Election Organizers (DKPP).

"Earlier, Alhamdulillah, we have agreed to two DKPP Regulations and two Bawaslu Regulations," said Chairman of Commission II of the DPR Ahmad Doli Kurnia, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 20.

First, the draft Perbawaslu on Supervision, Procurement, and Distribution of Voting Equipment and Other Equipment Support in the General Election.

Second, the draft Perbawaslu on General Election Campaign Supervision.

Meanwhile, the two DKPP drafts that were approved were the draft DKPP Regulation on the Official Script, as well as the draft DKPP Regulation on Experts.

"We will ratify the DKPP regulations," said Doli while leading the meeting.

Doli explained that in the consultation meeting, his party together with the Indonesian KPU, the Indonesian Bawaslu, and the Indonesian DKPP discussed seven draft regulations for the election organizers.

"Seven of these regulations, three of the draft KPU regulations, two draft Bawaslu regulations, and then two draft DKPP regulations," he said.

The three draft KPU Regulations (PKPU) discussed in the consultation meeting are the PKPU draft on the Amendment to the PKPU regarding Campaign, the PKPU draft on the Candidacy of the General Election of the President and Vice President, and the PKPU draft on Voting and Counting.

He said the consultation meeting was held in accordance with Law Number 7 of 2023 concerning Stipulation of Government Regulations in Lieu of Law (Perppu) Number 1 of 2022 concerning Amendments to Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections.

"Every KPU, Bawaslu, and DKPP before issuing regulations, they must first consult with the DPR and the Government. Well, today we received letters from three of them and we will carry out them this afternoon," said Doli.
