North Kalimantan Governor Reminds ASN To Maintain Neutrality In The 2024 Election

Governor of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Zainal A. Paliwang reminded the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of Kaltara to maintain neutrality in the upcoming 2024 General Election.

TANJUNG SELOR - Governor of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Zainal A. Paliwang reminded the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of Kaltara to maintain neutrality in the upcoming 2024 elections.

This was revealed by the Governor of Kaltara while leading the morning rally at the Tanjung Selor Agatish field, Bulungan, Monday, September 18.

"The prohibition for ASN for practical politics has been regulated in law with the aim of maintaining their neutrality. Moreover, 2024 is a political year with the implementation of the presidential, regional and legislative elections," said Zainal, Monday, September 18.

Political contestation, continued Zainal, had already started that year. He also asked ASN to be wise in using social media (Medsos).

"Keep neutrality as an ASN and be wise in social media," said the Governor in front of all ASN and Non-ASN employees of the Kaltara Provincial Government.

Governor Zainal Paliwang reminded that the main task of ASN is to stay focused on public services.

In addition, the involvement of ASN in practical politics can interfere with bureaucratic work and reduce the quality of public services which should be the main task of a civil servant.

"Do not let ASN be carried away in certain interests, because it can interfere with the quality of public services," he explained.

In addition, Governor Zainal also reminded about several activities that will be held today, including FKUB meetings throughout Kalimantan which will take place in Tanjung Selor.

"As hosts, let's show that we are good hosts," said Governor Zainal.

At the end of his directive, Governor Zainal conveyed about the implementation of the 11th Anniversary of Kaltara which will be centered at the Agatish Field.

He hopes that all parties can play an active role in helping the smoothness and success of all the activities of the anniversary, especially because the implementation committee has been formed.

"I hope everyone works seriously and sincerely," he said.

After the morning rally, Governor Zainal continued by receiving Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) from a government-owned bank operating in Kaltara.

The CSR assistance received by Kaltara Province is an ambulance from the Kaltara East Kalimantan BPD. The handover was carried out by the Head of the Kaltara East Kalimantan BPD Tanjung Selor Branch, Dicky Agus Widiyanto.

"I would like to thank Bank BPD Kaltim Kaltara for contributing by handing over an ambulance as part of the company's social responsibility to the people of Kaltara," said Zainal.
