Tak Bahas Cawapres Dalam Pertemuan, Golkar Sebut Prabowo Saran Ridwan Kamil Fokus Di Jabar

JAKARTA - Golkar Party Deputy Chairman Ahmad Doli Kurnia revealed the contents of the meeting between Gerindra Chairman Prabowo Subianto and former West Java governor Ridwan Kamil on Wednesday night.

Doli said there was no discussion regarding the future vice presidential candidate between Prabowo and Ridwan Kamil. He said that Prabowo had actually advised Kang Emil to stay focused in West Java.

"It was conveyed yesterday by Pak Prabowo so that (Ridwan Kamil) only focuses on West Java," said Doli to reporters, Friday, September 15.

It is known that the Golkar Party did not nominate Ridwan Kamil as vice presidential candidate. The Beringin Party already has a plan for Ridwan Kamil to run in the West Java Pilkada or the DKI Jakarta Pilkada.

"Yes, it means that Pak Prabowo also knows that the Golkar agenda against Ridwan Kamil is indeed planned to advance on the road to the regional head," explained Doli.

Doli also confirmed that Prabowo's meeting with Ridwan Kamil on the dinner agenda was limited to a private gathering. The meeting, he said, was at Ridwan Kamil's request.

"Pak Prabowo accepts because so far Mr. Prabowo, Gerindra is also the one who has supported Ridwan Kamil since becoming mayor (Bandung)," explained Doli.

In fact, he added, previously Prabowo also met with Golkar Chairman Airlangga Hartarto.

"During the meeting (Prabowo-RK) was conveyed as soon as (so that RK would run as the West Java cagub). Maybe Pak Prabowo also already knew that Pak Prabowo's communication with Pak Airlangga had been intensive. Ridwan Kamil's name has recently been announced," said Doli.
