Police Reveal 5 Drug Cases In Kuningan Involve 2 Motorcycle Gang Leaders

The Kuningan Police revealed five cases of drug trafficking and abuse over the past three weeks with two suspects including the head of a motorcycle gang.

"We have arrested two perpetrators, we received information that one of the motorcycle gangs in Kuningan always uses marijuana," said Head of Narcotics at the Kuningan Police, AKP Udiyanto in Kuningan, West Java, Thursday, September 14, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said the first suspect with the initials F (22) was arrested at one of Kuningan's traditional markets, after being caught carrying 15.23 grams of marijuana wrapped in brown paper.

Then, he said, the Kuningan Police Narcotics Unit conducted further investigations and finally arrested another perpetrator with the initials A (22) in Luragung Square. The perpetrator was proven to have carried two packages of marijuana weighing 47.96 grams and 29.28 grams.

Udiyanto said A was the head of a motorcycle gang in Brebes while F was the head of a motorized group operating in Kuningan.

"After we investigated and secured it, at Kuningan Market. We developed and arrested suspect A who is also the head of a motorcycle gang in Brebes," he said.

He said the two suspects got a package of marijuana by ordering online and using the "cash on delivery" (COD) system.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Kuningan Police, AKBP Willy Andrian, explained that the other three perpetrators were suspects in the case of narcotics abuse of methamphetamine with the initials D (40), I (30) and M (30).

From the hands of the three suspects, said Willy, the Kuningan Police confiscated 11 packages of crystal methamphetamine weighing 8.9 grams to be used as evidence. The suspects must undergo legal proceedings to account for their actions.

"We have uncovered five cases. First, two cases in Ciwaru District, one case in Cidahu District, one case in Luragung District and one case in Kuningan District," he explained.

The five suspects were charged with articles in the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a maximum threat of 20 years in prison. Willy emphasized that the Kuningan Police would continue to carry out drug eradication operations in Kuningan Regency.
