Regarding The Azan Containing Ganjar Accused Of Political Identity, PDIP: People Are Not Achieved

Secretary General of PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto opened his voice about the appearance of the call to prayer video containing the presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo who was considered an identity political requirement. According to him, the spread of the video can only be done by people who do not have achievements.

This follows the accusation by PKS that Ganjar was doing identity politics because he appeared on an call to prayer at a television station.

"Yes, identity politics was conveyed by people who do not have an achievement track record," said Hasto at the Banten Province PDIP DPD Office, Serang City, Banten, Sunday, September 10, which was confiscated by Antara.

According to him, Ganjar's capacity in the show is to display the spiritual side as stated in Pancasila, namely the first precept of God. He also emphasized that Ganjar and PDIP do not have an identity political track record.

"Pak Ganjar displays spirituality as a country that runs Pancasila as well as possible so that there is no track record of any identity politics from Pak Ganjar and also PDIP. We are the Nationalist Soekarnois party," he said.

"Making the precept of God together with the principle of national humanity, deliberation and also fighting for social justice is something that reflects our spirituality as a nation. Good invitation, and I think it has absolutely nothing to do with identity politics," he continued.

Previously, on Saturday 9 September, PKS accused PDIP presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo of political identity because it appeared on the television station's call to prayer show (TV).

"Yes (identity politics), master's weapon, so far the narrative of identity politics has always been echoed by PDIP to attack PKS and Anies, and finally PDIP is also trapped in identity politics," said PKS spokesman Muhammad Iqbal, Saturday 9 September.

Iqbal also asked the PDIP to stop using the issue of identity politics ahead of the election. Moreover, he said, the issue was used as a weapon to attack Islamic parties.

Furthermore, Iqbal also said that there was actually nothing wrong with identity and politics. According to him, what is wrong is when the identity is used to get the voice and image solely.

Currently, a Maghrib call to prayer video appears on one of the Indonesian television stations showing presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo carrying out prayers. The appearance of the video raises perceptions in society.

The coalition political party that carries and supports Ganjar as a presidential reading in the 2024 election confirms that Ganjar's appearance in the video is not identity politics.
