JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating which private parties gave money to the former Head of Makassar Customs Andhi Pramono.

This information was obtained from the Commissioner of PT Marinten, Bayu Aulia Hermawan, who was questioned on Thursday, September 7 at the Semarang Polrestabes.

"The witness was present and his knowledge was investigated, among others, related to the alleged flow of money received by suspect AP from a private company," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Friday, September 8.

Ali has not detailed the relationship between Andhi and PT Marinten. However, from the information gathered, the company was allegedly supported by Andhi.

Next, the company is said to be an additional source of income for the former head of customs to finance his life.

Returning to witness examination, Ali explained, investigators also examined Muchamad Samhodjin, who is a private employee. He was asked to have the impression that there was an attempt to transfer money to certain parties to obscure Andhi Pramono's receipt of money.

The KPK previously detained the former Head of Makassar Customs andhi Pramono. He is suspected of receiving gratuities in the form of a fee after becoming a broker for export-import entrepreneurs.

To make this acceptance, Andhi allegedly used an account belonging to his trusted person who was a businessman. They became nominees so that the gift to him was not detected.

It didn't stop there, Andhi was also suspected of committing a crime of money laundering (TPPU). This allegation arose because he disguised the purchase of assets using the names of other people, including his mother-in-law.

Andhi is said that the KPK received a fee of up to Rp28 billion and the amount could continue to grow. The money was then purchased for various purposes such as diamonds, insurance policies, to houses in the Pejaten area, South Jakarta worth Rp20 billion.
