Lampung Governor Calls KPK Only LHKPN Clarification: I Used To Be An Entrepreneur, Assets From There

Lampung Governor Arinal Djunaidi said his summons by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Friday (1/9) was only to provide clarification on the assets of state officials (LHKPN).

"At certain times I have been asked for information regarding LHKPN, because it was busy making reports of my son, it turned out that there were findings that did not have an explanation so clarification was made," said Arinal Djunaidi in Bandar Lampung as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 5.

He said his presence at the KPK was not to carry out an examination, but to fulfill the invitation to clarify LHKPN on data that was deemed to lack explanation.

"From the report, there were indeed some findings that lacked complete explanations, such as several lands in the hometown in Waykanan that were collaborated with businessmen. Then because my family is a traditional figure, there is some income that is not explained. That's all the KPK asked," he said.

He explained that most of the assets he had were the result of his previous profession, which was a businessman.

"So before becoming a civil servant, I became a regional secretary. I have been an entrepreneur for a long time, many (wealth) came from this (profession as an entrepreneur)," he said.

According to him, after clarifying LHKPN by the KPK, he was asked to fix the asset reporting data for these public officials.

"This is only a clarification of the LHKPN as was done by Reihana (former Head of the Lampung Provincial Health Office) and Deputy Governor Chusnunia Chalim. And I will fix it again. The data has also been submitted to the KPK investigator. So it's not a problem of corruption," he added.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned Lampung Governor Arinal Djunaidi on Friday (1/9) to be asked for clarification regarding the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN) and a number of transactions with a significant nominal value.

And the clarification is also a continuation of the KPK's deepening of public votes that complain about infrastructure development in Lampung.

Based on the state administrator's wealth report (LHKPN) on March 28, 2023, Lampung Governor Arinal Djunaidi has a wealth of Rp 23.2 billion.

In detail, the wealth consists of seven plots of land and buildings worth Rp7.5 billion, then three units of transportation and machinery worth Rp494,627,000. Mobilized assets of Rp320,186,200, as well as cash and cash equivalents of Rp14,910,660,708.
