Ahead Of The ASEAN Summit, The Police Will Guard Criminal Prone Areas In South Jakarta

JAKARTA - The South Jakarta Metro Police are aggressively carrying out operations to create conditions and prevent street crimes ahead of the implementation of the 43rd ASEAN Summit in Jakarta on 5-7 September 2023. "This activity is a preventive effort to disrupt security and social security such as brawls, illegal racing, theft and persecution," said South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi in a written statement, Antara, Sunday, September 3. The number of personnel deployed in the patrol activities held on Saturday, September 2 evening, as many as 100 people consisting of precision pioneer units, function pickets, city patrols, members of the Polsek ranks.

This activity also received support from the TNI and South Jakarta Satpol PP. Rute patrols, among others, are the objects that are the locations for accommodation for ASEAN Summit participants/dellegations in Setiabudi, Mampang and Kebayoran Baru areas.

"We carried out dialogueal patrols and sympathetic patrols by inviting the public to protect their respective areas and prevent crowds until the early hours of the morning," said Ade.
