The Body Of Social Activist Michelle Doga, A Victim Of The KKB Shooting, Was Autopsied

Head of the Papua Police Health Office, Kombes Dr. Nariyana, said a team from Bhayangkara Hospital was conducting an autopsy on the body of Michelle Kurisi Doga, who was the victim of the KKB shooting in Lanny Jaya Regency, Papua Mountains.

"The autopsy is still ongoing at Bhayangkara Jayapura Hospital," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 1.

The autopsy was carried out since 18.00 WIT by deploying three doctors, one of which was a forensic doctor.

After it is completed, his party will immediately hand over the body to the family so that it can be buried.

"It is possible that at around 22.30 WIT the body will be handed over to the family," said Nariyana.

Jayawijaya Police Chief AKBP Hari Wibowo Purnomo separately said the victim died as a result of being shot by the KKB. His body was found Thursday (31/8) in Koloyak Village, Kolowa District, Lanny Jaya Regency.

When found, he said, the condition of the body was buried and covered with trees.

Dandim 1702/Jayawijaya Lt. Col. (Cpn) Atethianius Murip previously said the victim Michelle KurisiDoga died Monday (28/8). The process of evacuating the bodies was difficult due to its difficult and steep terrain, then the bodies were taken to Wamena Hospital, Jayawijaya Regency.

Michelle Kurisi is a social activist who is widely known by the public and leaders because of her concern for women and children in remote parts of Papua.

"In addition, Michelle Kurisi is the grandson of the head of the Silo Tribe," said Athenius Murip.
