Ganjar's Electability Is Claimed By SMRC Researchers Not To Be Disturbed By The Advanced Indonesia Coalition

JAKARTA - Saiful Mujani Research and Consulting (SMRC) researcher Saidiman Ahmad assessed that the new name of the Forward Indonesia Coalition (KIM) will not affect public support for Ganjar Pranowo's presidential candidate (readpres).

In fact, he said the duplication of the name of the Jokowi coalition in the 2019 presidential election by political parties supporting Prabowojustru would backfire on the Prabowo camp.

"I don't think this will have much influence on public support for Ganjar Pranowo. Even the duplication of the names of the coalitions of Jokowi's 2019 supporting parties can backfire for the Prabowo camp," Saidiman said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 30.

Therefore, he suspects that instead of being the name of the coalition, he will get closer to Jokowi, it can actually show the poor creativity of Prabowo's supporters.

Not surprisingly, according to him, if there is an impression that Prabowo as a leader who is firm and independent will be eroded by the duplication action of the name Advanced Indonesia which is used for the naming of the coalition.

"Impressions as a firm and independent leader who is a personal quality that Prabowo has been carrying can be emotional because of the raw duplication of names and slogans that Jokowi's 2019 supporting parties have used," he said.

Saidiman assessed that the duplication of the name of the Jokowi coalition in the 2019 presidential election actually showed that the Prabowo coalition was not creative and seemed to be a blind follower in Jokowi.

In fact, according to him, the thing to remember is one of Jokowi's originality characters.

The coalition carrying and supporting Prabowo Subianto's candidacy changed its name to the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM). The name change was made after the merger of PAN and Golkar, even though previously Gerindra-PKB had entered into an agreement and formed the Great Indonesia National Coalition (KKIR).

The name of the new coalition is identified as the closeness of the coalition to President Jokowi. This is because the name of the coalition is identical to the name of the Jokowi coalition in the 2019 presidential election and the name of the government cabinet led by President Jokowi, namely the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet.
