The Palangka Raya City Satpol PP has imposed sanctions on dozens of residents who were caught in a population card raid (KTP). The raid was carried out on Jalan Yos Sudarso.

The Head of Civil Servant Investigators (PPNS) and Enforcement of Regional Legal Products (PPHD) of the Palangka Raya Satpol PP, Djoko Wibowo, said the one-day raid was carried out on 1,454 people.

"Of the 1,454 motorists, 1,118 two-wheeled vehicle drivers and 336 four-wheeled drivers, and 30 people were sanctioned for these activities," said Djoko in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan (Central Kalimantan), Tuesday, August 29, as reported by Antara.

He said that for 30 residents who did not bring ID cards or digital population identities, 16 people were given written warnings, while 13 people were subject to administrative fines of Rp. 100,000.

The ID card raid was carried out in enforcing Palangka Raya City regulations Number 4 of 2016 regarding the obligation to bring ID cards while traveling.

"So if people travel, they must bring their ID cards, because this is very important when on the road," he said.

Djoko added that people who are traveling are advised to bring their ID cards or digital population identities, so that when an activity like this is not caught in a raid.

"This step is also a form of the government's commitment to enforce existing regulations in the city area. So anyone must bring an ID card if they meet the requirements for ownership of the identity card," he said.
