PEKALONGAN - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) together with First Lady Iriana, continued their visit to the traditional Grogolan market, Pekalongan City, Central Java after opening the International Sufi Congress. Jokowi and the first lady want to distribute food packages and check commodity prices in this market. "Every city, district and province I check with the market regarding prices (commodities, ed.). Here, everything is good, except for the slightly rising price of rice," said President Jokowi in Pekalongan, Central Java, Antara, Tuesday, August 29 evening. Participating in accompanying President Jokowi's visit to the Grogolan traditional market, Pekalongan City, namely National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo. According to Jokowi, from the results of checking in the market, it is stated that almost all basic needs have decreased, except for the slightly increased price of rice. "Red onions, chicken meat (down), only rice that rises slightly," said Jokowi. On that occasion, First Lady Iriana bought up some basic necessities from market traders. President Jokowi and his entourage arrived at Grogolan Market, Pekalongan City at around 15.58 WIB.

Arriving at Grogolan Market, Pekalongan City, residents and traders crowded wanted to see President Jokowi closely. However, with tight security from Paspampres members, the wishes of residents and traders to be hindered can shake hands with the President.
