700 Police Personnel Deployed To Secure Madura United Match Against Bhayangkara FC

A total of 700 police personnel were deployed to secure the Madura United FC versus Bhayangkara FC match at the Bangkalan Stadium, East Java, Friday, August 24 at around 15.00 WIB.

Bangkalan Police Chief AKBP Febri Isman Jaya said the personnel deployed were jointly from members of the Bangkalan Police, assisted by the Tanjung Perak Surabaya Police and the East Java Police Mobile Brigade.

"After the afternoon ceremony, the personnel immediately moved to the Bangkalan Gelora Stadium," he said shortly before the troop deployment at the Bangkalan Police Headquarters, Friday, August 25 at noon.

Apart from the police element, a number of officers from the side agencies of the Bangkalan Regency Government were also involved in the security, including the Bangkalan Civil Service Police Unit (satpol PP), the Transportation Service, the Firefighters team, the Health Service, and the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI).

In this follow-up match, said the Police Chief, there was actually no supporter for the visitors. However, the police need to continue to anticipate to prevent unwanted things.

"Let's show it as a host supporter with a friendly attitude for the visitors and spectators throughout Indonesia. The host supporters must be good supporters," said the Police Chief.

Meanwhile, Madura United FC coach Mauricio Souza said the club nicknamed Laskar Sape Kerrap was in a vigilant condition against Bhayangkara FC.

"We have instructed all players to be aware of all Bhayangkara FC players. Like the home team, the visitors also have ambitions to win the match," said Mauricio.

In this follow-up match, Madura United cannot play three core players, namely Hugo Gomes (Jaja), Francisco Rivera, and Malik Risaldi.

Hugo Gomes was unable to attend because he was injured, while Francisco Rivera and Malik Risaldi were hit by card accumulation.

"Although the three players cannot play, we have prepared substitutes," he said.

Currently Madura United leads the 2023 2024 BRI Liga 1 standings by winning 19 points, 6 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw.

Bhayangkara FC is ranked 17th in the standings with 4 points, 1 win, 1 draw, and 7 defeats.
