Temanggung Police Confiscate Thousands Of Illegal Drug Items

TemanGGung - Temanggung Resort Police (Polres), Central Java, confiscated thousands of pills with the Y (Yarindo) logo from two suspects, namely DR (27), a resident of Kranggan Temanggung and JS (29) a resident of Semarang.

Head of the Narcotics Investigation Unit (Satresnarkoba) of the Temanggung Police, AKP Luqman Effendi, explained the beginning of the disclosure of this case, when members of the Narcotics Unit of the Temanggung Police received information that the suspect DR had and stored the Yarindo type G list of drugs.

Then the police officers secured DR and during a search of DR's clothes, evidence was found in the pocket of the jacket he was wearing in the form of 278 white pills bearing the Y logo in the plastic clip.

"The suspect DR was also secured in cash amounting to Rp120,000 from selling Yarindo pills and a cell phone unit. The suspect admitted to getting pills from JS, a resident of Semarang," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, August 24.

Then in developing the case, the police secured JS while riding a motorcycle in front of the Minimart Jalan Temanggung-Kaloran, Temanggung Regency.

During a search of JS's motorbike, evidence was found which was stored in the trunk of a shopping bag in which there were two white bottles containing 1,000 Yarindo pills each.

"From the suspect JS, Rp360,000 in cash was also confiscated and a cell phone unit," he said.

For this incident, he said, DR and JS were secured and evidence was confiscated for further investigation and investigation.

Luqman said the suspect was charged with Article 197 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 36 of 2009 concerning Health as amended and added to Article 60 number 10 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation, subsidiary to Article 196 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 36 of 2009 concerning Health.

"The threat of imprisonment is a maximum of 10 years and a maximum fine of Rp. 1 billion," he said.
