The Indonesian Family Planning Association (PSMTI) West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Thursday, held a ceremony to celebrate the 78th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.

The ceremony was attended by 200 participants, including 45 high school students, 30 junior high schools and 20 elementary schools. The committee also collaborated with schools from the Mandiri Insan Foundation, the Pelita Bangsa Budi Luhur Foundation and the Catholic School in Mataram City.

The chairman of PSMTI NTB, Stheven Suhir (60), revealed the purpose of holding the event, to generate a sense of nationalism for young people.

"We expect the young generation to keep in mind the struggle for independence, fill independence and share with others," he said.
