KSP: Appearance Of Independence Day 78 Echoes Equality And Affirmation

JAKARTA - Expert Staff of the Presidential Staff Office, Sunarman Sukamto stated that the celebration of the 76th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia is full of equality and affirmation values.

According to him, this can be seen from the involvement of disabilities and indigenous Papuans who enlivened the celebration of Independence which took place at the Merdeka Palace, this Thursday.

"This means that the president wants to convey to Indonesia that in this modern civilization there should be no more discrimination and stigma," said Sunarman.

After the raising ceremony, a series of entertainments were presented in the courtyard of the Merdeka Palace with the appearance of Putri Ariani, semi-finalist of America's Got Talent, MAC who is the foster of the Papua Youth Creative Hub and Shine of Black, a hip hop music group from Jayapura, Papua.

So far, said Sunarman, the Government as a regulator has provided regulations that support the increase in talents for people with disabilities and indigenous Papuans, both through Legislation and Special Autonomy Regulations for the Papua region.

Regarding the Special Autonomy Fund, said Sunarman, it is quite dominant to use it for infrastructure, health and education. One of them was recently the government created Creative Hubs in Papua, where this creative hub is managed and manages young talents in Papua.

"A decent access and accommodation is important to create Princess Ariani, MAC and Shine on Black, all other educational institutions must accept, understand characters, and provide decent accommodation," said Sunarman.

No less important than regulations, according to Sunarman, family and community support is the most important part of the realization of equality and affirmation that the government wants to build.

"Don't just be an inspirational field, everyone can be great, including people with disabilities and indigenous Papuans, as long as there is support from those closest to you, namely family and educational institutions," Sunarman continued.

The involvement of disabilities and indigenous Papuans, said Sunarman, is a echo from the government which wants to convey that the support of families and the general public is the main factor in providing creative space for people with disabilities and indigenous Papuans.

"That any disability has the same rights and opportunities and potential to achieve its best achievement," added Sunarman.

According to Sunarman, the government is seriously trying to encourage respect, protection, and fulfillment of human rights by the state for its citizens without exception. "Once again, this is a long process behind that performance, and what we highlight in the long process support is the main value in providing equality," he said.

Especially in realizing the vision of Indonesia Gold 2045, said Sunarman, education is the basic capital. Important access and accommodation are realized by the closest community, namely family and community regardless of certain disabilities and ethnicities.

"We want to create a supportive environment in the sense of environmental and attitude accessibility, namely a supportive attitude, not rejecting and not caring," concluded Sunarman.
