JAKARTA - Former United States President Donald Trump is again facing charges surrounding the 2020 elections, with the latest being filed by the Georgia State Court of Judges.

In the latest indictment, Trump has been charged with trying to change his defeat in the 2020 US election to Democratic candidate Joe Biden. The indictment was imposed by Disktric Prosecutor Fulton Fani Willis.

The total 98-page indictment includes 41 criminal charges and 19 defendants including Trump charged with 13 charges. Among those also charged with the names of former White House chiefs of staff of the Trump era, Mark Meadows, lawyers Rudy Giuliani and John Eastman.

"Instead of complying with Georgia's legal proceedings for election challenges, the defendants are involved in crimes to change the results of the presidential election in Georgia," Willis told a news conference.

Trump and the other defendants had until noon local time on Friday, August 25, to surrender voluntarily, rather than face arrests, Willis said, who would try to try to try all the defendants together.

"This unilateral grand jury percentage relies on witnesses who have their own personal and political interests," Trump's lawyer, Drew Findling, Jennifer Little and Marissa Goldberg said in a statement.

"We look forward to a detailed review of this indictment, which is undoubtedly flawed and unconstitutional like the whole process," Trump's attorney added.

Trump denies wrongdoing, saying Willis, a Democrat, is a 'robot party' trying to undermine his efforts to run again in the 2024 elections.

"This is a dangerous attempt from the ruling class to suppress the people's choice," Trump said in a statement before the indictment was released.

"The charges inspired by this politics, which could have been filed nearly three years ago, are designed to be placed right in the midst of my political campaign," Trump said on a separate occasion to Fox News Digital, as quoted by CNN.

Trump said Willis, "should focus on people who cheat on the 2020 presidential election, not on those who demand answers to what happened."

"Just as he has let Atlanta go to hell with all his crimes and violence, as well as Joe Biden allowing the United States to go to the same place as millions of people who storm our country, inflation, poor economy, lack of energy, and lack of respect around the world," Trump said.

It is known, this is Trump's fourth indictment. At the New York State Court, he faces demands regarding payment of mouth shut money to a porn star.

In different charges in Florida federal court, related to alleged mishandling of federal classified documents. In both cases, Trump pleaded not guilty.

Another charge against Trump is imposed in Washington's federal court, on charges of seeking to overturn the 2020 election results.
