DENPASAR - Denpasar Immigration Office, Bali, deported two foreign nationals (WNA) from China for allegedly establishing a fictitious company using an investor's Limited Stay Permit (Itas).

"Every deportation that we do must cost themselves, and we prevent them from entering Indonesia again, especially Bali," said Denpasar Immigration Office Head Tedy Riyandi as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 11.

The two Chinese foreigners had the initials LB, a 39-year-old man and LL, a 27-year-old woman.

They were deported through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, on Friday riding the Chinese airline Southern Airlines with flight number CZ-626 with the direct destination of Denpasar-Guangzhou.

Both of them used Itas investors to enter Bali, but it turned out that there was no investment because the company was fake.

Head of the Class I Immigration Office of TPI Denpasar Tedy Riyandi explained that the two Chinese foreigners violated Article 75 paragraph 1 of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning immigration related to foreigners who are in Indonesian territory who carry out dangerous activities and should be suspected of endangering security and public order.

In addition, not respecting or disobeying statutory regulations in accordance with Article 75 paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.

In accordance with Article 102 paragraph 1 of the Law, the detention period is a maximum of six months and each time it can be extended for a maximum of six months.

"The activity in question is that they open a fictitious company," added Tedy.

He appealed to the public if they saw or knew about the activities of foreigners who violated Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration, they could immediately report to the authorities.

Based on data from the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of Bali Province, the number of foreigners deported from Bali was 201 people during the period January to August 7, 2023.

Meanwhile, in 2022, 188 foreigners were expelled from the Island of the Gods for committing immigration violations.

The causes vary from violating residence permits, abusing residence permits, criminal acts to violating norms in Bali.
