Kadin Aceh: Restrictions On Warkop Business Hours Potentially Disrupt The Economy

BANDA ACEH - Aceh's Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) assesses that restrictions on coffee shops, similar cafes in Aceh can disrupt the income or economy of business actors in Aceh.

"Reducing the income of cafe business actors, and as a tourist destination, culinary places are needed," said Deputy Chairman of the Investment Division of the Aceh Chamber of Commerce and Industry Taf Haikal in Banda Aceh as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, August 10.

Previously, Acting Governor of Aceh Achmad Marzuki issued Circular Letter (SE) Number 451/11286 concerning Strengthening and Increasing the Implementation of Islamic Sharia for State Civil Apparatus (ASN) and the Community in general in Aceh.

One of the points in the SE is to limit the coffee shop and the like in Aceh, so as not to open a business past 00.00 WIB.

Taf Haikal said that Kadin basically really understands the appeal, because there is a strong desire from the Acting Governor to enforce Islamic law in Aceh.

"Essentially, the Aceh Chamber of Commerce and Industry is very supportive of the SE, but it must also be seen in all aspects, for example limiting cafes from opening until 00.00 WIB, this will also disrupt the income of business actors," he said.

According to Taf Haikal, if the time limit for the coffee shop business is enforced because there are a number of cafes that are indicated to have committed violations, then that must be given strict sanctions.

"Do not let the government's inability to carry out surveillance, it must be borne by the risks of all cafe business actors," he also said.

From the perspective of the Aceh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said Taf Haikal, actually what must be intensified is government supervision as the owner of policy authority, apparatus, budget, but so far it has not been carried out optimally.

In fact, the government can immediately disseminate information to cafe owners to be actively involved in supervising their own businesses, so that if there are indications of violations, they can be dealt with.

Taf Haikal suggested, as an area that is spurring development growth from all sides, it must be very careful in making policies, not weakening progress itself.

In addition, said Taf Haikal, during the policy related to the business, his party was never involved or asked for his views.

He said such regulations could actually make the impression as if Aceh was not safe or closed.

"This could have an impact on the business world and the investment climate in Aceh, which the Aceh Government is intensively promoting as a tourist destination and investment," said Taf Haikal.
