JAKARTA - The last night of the 44th ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) General Assembly (AIPA) in Jakarta was lively. The chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives as well as the President of AIPA 2023, Puan Maharani, presented the delegation of the ASEAN state parliamentary forum with performing arts and culture, even to dangdutan with Kris Dayanti (KD) and Mulan Jameela.

This night of friendship is strong in art and culture. Starting from the treats, the theme of the event, even clothes with the nuances of the archipelago. You can see guests wearing traditional North Sumatra clothes, Toraja, Bali, to Papua.

The AIPA delegates consisting of the Speaker of Parliament for Southeast Asian countries along with their entourage, and representatives of observer countries and international organizations were no less enlivening the event. They attend to wear traditional or distinctive clothing from their respective countries.

"Tonight, we gathered in this magnificent room, not only to celebrate the success of the 44th AIPA General Assembly, but also to celebrate the rich cultural traditions that unite us," said Puan when opening the Solidarity Dinner with the AIPA General Assembly Delegation, at the Fairmont Hotel, Wednesday, August 9 evening.

Solidarity Dinner held by the DPR RI also featured traditional and cultural performances from each AIPA country delegation. According to Puan, the cultural performance presented at this event can deepen the appreciation of ASEAN countries for the traditions and customs of each other, as well as foster a stronger sense of ASEAN identity. "Hopefully this Solidarity Dinner will be an unforgettable celebration of ASEAN friendship through cultural exchange. And this should inspire us to build stronger relations and a brighter future for our beloved region," added Puan.

To enliven the event, Indonesia presented the performances of well-known singers who are also members of the Indonesian House of Representatives. Like Kris Dayanti who looked stunning singing the song Bolelebo from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). It was attended by Mulan Jameela who had a duet with the Chairman of the DPR BKSAP, Fadli Zon. They sang Manuk Dadali, a song from West Java.

After that, KD and Mulan together sang the song Ojo Compared to what made Puan go to the edge of the stage to dance together. Seeing Puan playing with KD and Puan, AIPA delegates from various countries also advanced and danced in a crowd.

The atmosphere of Solidarity Dinner, which was quite fun, was even more lively. Moreover, KD and Mulan then added to the warmth of the atmosphere by singing Poco-poco, songs as well as dances created from Maluku.

Puan and members of the DPR then invited the AIPA delegation to join in dancing with the Poco-poco movement. The delegates seemed eager to sway. It didn't stop there, Member of the House of Representatives who is also singer Harvey Malaihiolo also contributed his voice by singing the song Kopi Dangdut.

The AIPA delegation seemed more cheerful when dancing dangdut with Puan and a group of members of the DPR. The cultural appearance from Indonesia was then closed with the Maumere dance, whose songs were performed by KD, Mulan, and Harvey Malaihiolo.

"This is the belief of Indonesia. We want something that can be interactive with the audience, so choose Poco-poco too, especially Mbak Puan also likes to dance to Poco-poco," said Kris Dayanti.

At the opening of the event, Indonesia also presented visual mapping from a composer who is also a content creator, Alffy Rev. In the video mapping shown in front of the AIPA delegation, Alffy Rev shows the beauty of Indonesian culture and tourism with the background of regional songs such as Sajojo and O Ina Ni Keke.

Apparently, Alffy Rev's appearance was KD's suggestion when Puan asked for input regarding the packaging of the concept of the event. KD said that what Alffy Rev presented could show the beauty of Indonesia's face.

"People have a short trial, so I introduce Alffy Rev to Mbak Puan. He is a young person who already has a good musicality record. And he is also a digital expert with EDM (electronic dance music) flow," he explained.

"That can translate Indonesia into modern packaging and everyone is really amazed," continued KD.

The cultural appearance of the AIPA delegation is no less exciting. Like the Brunei Darussalam delegation who performed their traditional music, Cambodia, which sang their regional songs, and Thailand, which performed brilliantly with distinctive dances from their country.
