Gibran Opens Open Selection Of Regional Secretary Positions, Former Semarang Sub-district Head Ade Bhakti Allowed To Participate In Competition

SOLO - Surakarta City Government (Pemkot) opened an open selection for the position of Regional Secretary (Sekda) following current officials entering retirement.

Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka invited interested parties to compete.

He also hopes that the new regional secretary will have good abilities, at least matching the previous regional secretary.

"So far, Mr. Budi Yuli (former regional secretary, ed), Mr. Ahyani (current regional secretary, ed), the late Mr. Budi (former regional secretary Budi Suharto, ed) is good. Hopefully that class or above," said Gibran as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 7.

Gibran also invited ASN Solo to take part in the selection. According to him, there are some of them who are eligible, ranging from the head of the service to the sub-district head.

"Some heads of offices can register because they meet the requirements. (Camat, Red.) please compete," he said.

Gibran also opened the selection for participants from outside the city. Including when asked about the possibility of ex-Camat Gajahmungkur Semarang City Ade Bhakti participating in the selection, Gibran did not rule out the possibility of something happening.

"This is free, everyone can come. Please compete. From inside, from outside, echelon three, please. The young are allowed, the old are allowed. The important thing is the spirit of work, now the competition is free. What we see is the merit of the system," he said.

Gibran advised the new regional secretary to have the spirit to collaborate. Moreover, he said, everything in Solo was the result of collaboration with the private sector.

"That's what we are pushing to the next regional secretary. Now it's quite good but needs to be improved," he said.
