Manokwari Regent's Firm Message To ASN: Must Know Yourself, Don't Join Separatist Groups

MANOKWARI - Manokwari Regent, Hermus Indou warned all state civil servants (ASN) within the Manokwari Regency Government not to join banned organizations or separatist groups. "Our national commitment must be maintained so that ASN does not join groups that oppose the government and the state," Hermus said while leading the joint ASN rally in Manokwari, West Papua, Monday. Hermuis emphasized that as an ASN, the person has been fed and livelihoodd by the state. Development and all the progress felt by the community is not the development of other countries. “ We have to know ourselves, we have been eating from state money every day. Let's love this nation and country. Do not carry out other activities that are contrary to the ideology of the nation and state. Let's be upright, once the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia remains the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, ” said Hermus. The number 1 person in Manokwari stated that in less than a few days Indonesia will commemorate Indonesia's 78th Anniversary of independence. This moment must be used to fill independence with things that are useful for development and not the other way around. “ We can enjoy independence to this day. My dignity is as a citizen of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. We must know ourselves, do not make additional movements here and there, ” he said. Hermus also advised, as a civil servant, ASN must carry out all responsibilities of service to serve all levels of society so that people are prosperous. Therefore, ASN must be able to work seriously and with discipline even though it has not many tasks. “ Mainly Papuan brothers and sisters, I respectfully ask to show discipline and remain in the office no matter how small the job is. Don't let the ASN always protest the government here and there to be appointed as ASN. But after becoming an ASN, it doesn't work faithfully and responsibly,” he said. According to him, an ASN must work for the country and work in a big competition. Those who are qualified and master the work will get the trust of the leadership. Therefore, an ASN must have a work ethic and a steel mentality.

“ You have to ask yourself whether you have been disciplined so far. Don't get involved in other illicit activities. Don't be surprised if you get scolded by your leadership. People who are poor can't move forward, don't lie. Those who have experience and knowledge will go up because they want to learn, ” he said.
