MATARAM - Forest Area in Gunung Rinjani National Park, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), caught fire. The fire seemed to spread, causing smoke. "Yes, it is true that there was a land fire in the Mount Rinjani National Park area in the Aik Berik area, Central Lombok Regency," said Head of Mount Rinjani National Park (TNGR) Dedy Asriady in Mataram, Antara, Friday, August 4. The land fire on the Aik Berik hiking trail is located in the forest area of the TNGR hall conservation function. As for the cause of the fire, it is not certain because its members are heading to the location to extinguish the fire. The fire was seen from CCTV footage. "Officers are heading to the crime scene to extinguish the fire and find out the cause of the fire," said Desy Asriady.

Until this news was released, the fire was still burning and officers from TNGR together with the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) were heading to the location of the fire.
