JAKARTA - Coordinator for the Implementation of the National Strategy for Corruption Prevention (Stranas PK) Pahala Nainggolan said that misuse of the central government's budget, including for stunting completion, could be prevented by a local government information system (SIPD). This program is considered to be able to monitor the issued budget and its designation. "With this SIPD, financial centralization (can be done, ed)," Pahala told reporters in Jakarta, Thursday, August 3. Pahala said, local governments often use the budget from the center not for their proper needs. For example, money for stunting programs but used to carry out meetings and official trips. Moreover, said Pahala, his team once found the local government using stunting handling funds. "There is stunting money to buy Innova, it is locked (it cannot come out, ed). In addition to the stunting budget, this SIPD can later be used to monitor other budgets from the central government and reduce more than 27,000 overlapping regional applications.
