JAKARTA - The Election Organizers Honorary Council (DKPP) has scheduled an examination hearing of Bawaslu Secretary General Ichsan Fuady on suspicion of violating the Election Organizer Code of Ethics tomorrow, Thursday, August 3.

This case was complained by Indrawati, who is a civil servant at the Secretariat of the General Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu).

Indrawati gave power of attorney to Rahmat Devi Irawan, Eka Kurnia Chrislianto, and Rudy Farcison. He complained about General Bawaslu Secretary Ichsan Fuady as a defendant.

The defendant is argued to have harmed and reduced constitutional rights by prohibiting complainants from participating in the selection as candidates for Bawaslukabupaten/city members.

In accordance with the provisions of Article 31 paragraphs (1) and (2) of DKPP Regulation Number 1 of 2021 concerning the Second Amendment to DKPP Regulation Number 3 of 2017 concerning Guidelines for Conducting the Code of Ethics for General Election Organizers, the trial will be chaired by the chairman and members of the DKPP.

DKPP Secretary Yudia Ramli said the agenda for the trial was to hear the statements of the complainants and defendants as well as the witnesses or related parties presented.

"DKPP has properly summoned all parties, which is five days before the examination hearing is held," Yudia explained as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 2.

This code of ethics trial is open to the public and DKPP will broadcast the trial via the DKPP Youtube and Facebook account, @medsosdkpp.
