SurabaBAYA - Dirlantas Polda East Java Kombes Muhammad Taslim Chairuddin stated that the video of mothers scolding because their children 13 times did not pass the SIM test at the Gresik Police was an evaluation of his party.

"Basically, the Indonesian Police, including the East Java Regional Police, are not allergic to criticism," said Taslim as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 2.

According to him, criticism that comes from the public is an evaluation material for the good of the Police. However, continued Taslim, criticism should not be seen as cornering.

"Especially if the accusations are not accompanied by facts or there is a tabayun process," said Taslim.

Responding to the points of criticism of the mothers named Marita, Taslim explained that basically the Gresik Police Traffic Unit did not heed the instructions of the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo regarding SIM processing services. However, a process of interpretation is needed in the field to implement the Chief of Police's instructions.

Because, if the interpretation is wrong, in its application in the field it can actually hit the rules. In that case, he emphasized that officers at the Gresik Police Traffic Unit comply with the order of the National Police Chief.

"Then he (Mita) also thought that he wanted to reveal extortion? What happened was that the person concerned questioned his son's failure to take the SIM C test up to 13 times," he said.

Taslim also denied Marita's accusation that the Head of the Gresik Police Traffic Unit, AKP Agung, was absent from his duties because he was not in the office when Marita was about to find out about his problems.

What actually happened, continued Taslim, AKP Agung was in the field in order to carry out his duties. That's why Marita could not meet and was only served by officials under her, who were currently on duty at the office.

Previously, a viral video of a woman dressed in green playing because her child did not pass the SIM test 13 times at the Gresik Police Traffic Unit, East Java, went viral on social media. The video was made on August 1, 2023 and uploaded to the TikTok account @seaghost0777.

He admitted that he was involved in an argument with the Gresik Police Traffic Unit officers because his son did not pass the SIM written exam 13 times.
