Disappointed Family Police Call The Death Of Bripda IDF Due To Negligence

BOGOR - Bripda Ignatius Dwi Frisco Sirage's family or Bripda IDF (20) admitted that they were disappointed with the police statement that said the cause of his son's death was due to negligence.

"I have communicated with the family that he expressed his disappointment with the statement from the West Java Police Direskrimum which said it was due to negligence elements," said the family attorney for Bripda IDF, Jajang, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 3.

Jajang said that the IDF Bripda family insisted that the shooting incident that occurred on Sunday (23/7) at the Police Flats, Cikeas, Bogor Regency, West Java, was an element of intent and planning.

In the case title carried out by the Bogor Police, Tuesday (1/8), there were things that referred to the element of intent and planning, namely the existence of firearms that had been prepared in the suspect's bag.

Regarding the findings of two bottles of liquor, the family has not received a detailed explanation from investigators regarding the origin.

"Where did it come from? Purchased where? Is the perpetrator drunk? Is it permissible for members of Densus 88 Anti-terror to be of such bad behavior?" he said.

He revealed that there was evidence that the IDF Bripda had been intimidated since the beginning of 2023 by his senior.

Previously, the West Java Regional Police's Direskrimum Kombes Surawan explained from the facts, the incident was an negligence committed by the suspect, causing firearms to erupt and hit the IDF Bripda.

According to him, the victims and suspects who are juniors and seniors in the Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-terror Police are known to have good relations.

"From the last conversation, the suspect took out a gun (from the bag), he accidentally pulled the trigger," said Surawan.

However, he said, the suspect had already carried a firearm in his bag when he entered the room where Bripda IDF shot him.

"There was no intent. Maybe he forgot the SOP of the weapon was put in a bag, but it was already locked. When the weapon was taken, it accidentally pulled it and erupted," he said.

Bripda IDF was shot dead by a colleague who showed illegal homemade firearms on Sunday (23/7) at the Police Flat, Cikeas, Bogor Regency, West Java.

Two members of the National Police from the Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-terror Police have been named as suspects, namely Bripda IMS and Bripka IG. Both were declared to have violated the code of ethics for the category of serious violations and the criminal act of Article 338.

Bripda IMS is subject to Article 338 or Article 359 of the Criminal Code and/or Law Number 12 of 1951. For the suspect Bripka IG, subject to Article 338 in conjunction with Article 56 and/or Article 359 of the Criminal Code jo. Article 56 of the Criminal Code and/or the Emergency Law Number 12 of 1951.

Both face the death penalty or life imprisonment or a temporary prison sentence of up to 20 years.
