LSN Survey: 45.3 Percent Of Public Believes Prabowo Can Endorsement Jokowi

JAKARTA - The survey results of the National Survey Institute (LSN) on July 10 to 19, 2023 show that 45.3 percent of the public believes that Prabowo Subianto will most likely get President Jokowi's endorsement to become a presidential candidate in 2024.

"As many as 45.3 percent of respondents believe that the figure who will get an endorsement from President Jokowi to become a presidential candidate for R 2024-2029 is Prabowo Subianto," said Executive Director of LSN Gema Nusantara Bakry as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 26.

He said that Prabowo's public belief would be endorsed by President Jokowi and even continued to increase from time to time.

Meanwhile, he continued, as many as 30.2 percent of the public believed Ganjar Pranowo, who would most likely get an endorsement from Jokowi to become a presidential candidate for the next period.

"Public confidence that Ganjar will get endorsement justru continues to decline, currently only 30.2 percent of the public believes that Ganjar will be endorsed by Jokowi to become President of the Republic of Indonesia," he said.

The survey results recorded that in a row other national figures who are likely to get President Jokowi's endorsement to become candidates for presidential candidates, namely Erick Thohir as much as 8.4 percent, and Mahfud MD as much as 6.2 percent.

Meanwhile, 5.5 percent of the public answered other figures, and the remaining 4.4 percent answered they did not know.

The LSNini survey noted that the level of public satisfaction with President Jokowi's performance has increased compared to the previous LSN survey in June 2023.

Where as many as 75.6 percent of respondents said they were satisfied and very satisfied with President Jokowi's performance.

"And only 22.3 percent said they were lacking or dissatisfied," he said.

According to him, the high level of public satisfaction with President Jokowi has an effect on Jokowi's approval rating and in turn will affect the constellation of electability competition for the three top presidential candidates.

The findings of the NAM survey were carried out on 1,420 respondents with random-grade sampling techniques. Respondents who were sampled were at least 17 years old or already had ID cards.

The survey, which was conducted in 34 provinces in Indonesia, used a face-to-face interview technique with tolerance or a margin of error of around 2.6 percent and a confidence level of 95 percent.
